Kenya Airways

Effective 10th July 2014 KQ  is introducing a 3 weekly service from Mombasa – Dar es Salaam. This route is operated by an Embraer E190 aircraft.


Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways is adding capacity on its Nairobi – Dubai service, starting 02nd June 2014. The Sky team member plans to operate a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, instead of a 767-300ER. Planned resumption of the 2nd daily service KQ314/315, effective 01st August 2014, remains unchanged.


EgyptAir

Effective 17th April 2014 EgyptAir is offering nonstop Cairo – Jakarta services, on board an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.


Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways has announced a further expansion of its route network in Africa with Djibouti joining its ever-growing list of destinations served direct from the airline’s Doha hub. The carrier will inaugurate a three times weekly link to Djibouti’s Ambouli International Airport from July 27, 2014, operated using a two-class, 144-seat Airbus A320. This announcement comes as Qatar Airways prepares for a busy few months ahead with the launch of scheduled flights to Philadelphia and Larnaca in April; Edinburgh and Istanbul Sabiha in May; Miami and Tokyo Haneda in June and Dallas/Fort Worth in July. Bordered by Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia, Djibouti has an economy that is largely concentrated in the service sector and the country has limited international air services – a void Qatar Airways hopes to fill with its expanding international network of routes via its Doha hub.


SA Airlink

Effective 02nd June 2014 increases operations on its Cape Town – George route, with the addition of a 4th daily service (on weekdays), on board an Embraer 135 aircraft.


Ethiopian Airlines

Effective 28th September 2014 Ethiopian Airlines is resuming its Addis Ababa – Seychelles service, which sees the Star Alliance member operate a 3 weekly flights, on board a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.


TAAG Angola

Effective May 2014 TAAG Angola is increasing capacity to South Africa, with additional weekly services to Johannesburg, as well as switching to a larger aircraft on selected Cape Town services.

Luanda – Cape Town eff 07MAY14 1 of 3 weekly service operates with 777-200ER, instead of 737-700

Luanda – Johannesburg eff 08MAY14 5th weekly service being added, on board 777-200ER


Cathay Pacific

has further revised the Hong Kong – Amsterdam operation for Winter 2014/15 season. The planned 3-class Boeing 777-300ER operation on this route will be delayed from the 26th October 2014 until 01st November 2014, and will operate on a daily basis


Emirates

Effective 02nd September 2014 Emirates will begin services to Norway, operating daily flights from Dubai – Oslo, on board a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
