South Luangwa│     │Victoria Falls/Livingstone

Situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, overlooking the Zambezi National Park, 15kms upstream from Victoria falls. This is our recommendation for those who wish to enjoy time in the Victoria Falls area, with full access to the town and activities, while staying away from the crowds and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

Accommodation
This classic, comfortable lodge offers personalised service in a colonial style setting.  The ten twin chalets have been built out of local materials each looking west to he African sunset and the Zambezi National Park across the River. Elephant are regularly sighted on the islands in front of the lodge, and hippo and lion calls drift over the water most evenings.
Accommodation is on a full board basis with excellent meals and wine served very formally. High tea is served.

The main colonial style lodge building houses the dining room, drawing room, reception and show, as well as the kitchens. It has a well stocked library which is focused on the history of Southern Africa.

Activities
Include boat trips, canoeing, tiger fishing, island picnics, horse riding, golf, and lawn tennis.

The Victoria Falls area offers a wide variety of activities. The River Club includes the following as standard activities.
