Zambia’s first and largest National Park, covering 22,400 square kilometres is the second largest park in the world. The habitat is predominantly miombo woodland with open wetlands. The park has an enormous diversity of wildlife and the highest number of antelope species of any park in the world with 20 different species.  The Busanga Plains in the north of the park is the best region of the park with abundant game – notable species include red lechwe, sitatunga and Zambias only population of cheetah.
