Proflight Zambia has introduced a new through service from Lusaka to Zanzibar in Tanzania, enabling families to travel seamlessly from the capital to the beach. This is part of the airline’s extension service from Lusaka to Dar-s Salam in Tanzania which was launched in October 2013. Fares begin at k4,630 per person including taxes, free 23kgs checked in baggage allowance, on-board refreshment and administration, for travel until March 31st 2014 and operated in partnership with Precision Air.
TAP (Transportes Aéreos Portugueses) will begin a Lisbon – Belgrade service effective 02nd July 2014, where it’ll operate 3 weekly flights on board an Airbus A319 aircraft.
Air China effective 10th June 2014 plans to launch a Beijing – Washington Dulles service, in an application submitted to the US Department of Transportation on 21st January 2014. The Star Alliance member plans to operate 4 weekly services on board a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Air Mauritius has increased operations on its Mauritius – Shanghai Pu Dong service, with the introduction of a 3rd weekly flight. This will be operated on an Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
Effective 21st January 2014 Tunisair Express resumes services to Gafsa and Gabes in Tunisia, on board ATR72 turboprop aircraft.
Effective 20th January 2014 Qatar Airways expands operations to Sudan, as Doha – Khartoum frequencies increas from 14 to 17 weekly. The new flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will increase its Abu Dhabi - Dublin service from ten flights per week, to double daily from July 15, 2014. The announcement follows just a week after Emirates Airline announced it would double its own Dubai – Dublin route from a daily to twice daily offering from September 1, 2014. Etihad Airways will operate a Boeing 777-300 ER, configured to carry 380 passengers with 40 in Pearl Business Class and 340 in Coral Economy Class, and an Airbus A330-200, configured to carry 262 passengers, with 22 in Pearl Business Class and 240 in Coral Economy Class on its two daily rotations with the 40 per cent frequency boost providing 8,988 more seats each week between the capital cities of the UAE and Ireland.
Effective 03rd December 2014 Etihad will launch a new service to the US, with a 3 weekly Abu Dhabi – Dallas operation. ETIHAD’s reservation system only displays flight operations for the next 331 days.
