The ecologically friendly Matoya Fishing Lodge, nestled in green wetland enclaves, provides pleasant lodging and a superb dining experience to anglers courageous enough to brave the animals of the Barotse. The lodge is open from May through November each year.

The location of Matoya means you are a few minutes (by boat) from prime tigerfish spots all year round.
Room description
Guests can stay in one of seven thatched chalets, each sleeping two people. All of the rooms have air conditioning, which is a tremendous advantage on hot summer evenings. Each hut offers two three quarter beds with individual mosquito nets, as well as a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and hot and cold water shower. A state-of-the-art solar system provides electricity to the resort, with a generator as a backup.
