A Grande Escape For Less at Zambezi Grande

Hotel description

Bringing the heart and spirit of the magnificent Zambezi, their décor is a combination of contemporary style and a genuinely authentic African feel to it. With neutral colors reflecting life, rejuvenation, nature, and vitality, Zambezi Grande Private Game Experience reflects the calm of its surroundings. Guests may enjoy the spectacular views of the river from all parts of the lodge thanks to the seamless open-plan design. Since their first guests visited in October 2017, the lodge has fully embodied the vibrant environment that they are fortunate to call home. They look forward to welcoming you to Zambezi Grande Private Game Experience, whether you are relaxing on the pool deck, on a sundowner boat on the river, or unwinding on the terrace watching the wildlife pass by.

The Zambezi Grande Private Game Experience is adjacent to the Lower Zambezi National Park, a sprawling 4,092 square kilometers of rich birdlife, indigenous vegetation, and untamed wildlife. Exploring the area, you will come across a range of vegetation ranging from forest to wide plains, heavy bush to palm groves, complementing the grandeur of the huge Zambezi River, which runs parallel to the park.

As a result of the Zambezi River's overflow from the unfenced Lower Zambezi National Park, stunning game sightings are common. In addition to Elephant, Leopard, Lion, and the odd sighting of the elusive and endangered African Wild Dog, the area is home to around 400 bird species.

The skilled guides will take you on amazing open vehicle safaris to see Africa's most magnificent creatures. The Lower Zambezi National Park is rich in wildlife and provides numerous opportunities to see many of the Big 5. Enjoy food and refreshments along the journey, pausing to admire the natural beauty.

Travelling by boat along the Zambezi River in pursuit of Africa's greatest, untouched natural attractions, you can explore the bush with complete freedom. The River Safaris provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience as they witness wildlife lingering on the banks in its natural state.

Cast your line for one of the numerous magnificent underwater predators to discover the delights beneath the waters of the vast Zambezi River. Despite rigorous catch-and-release regulation, valued species such as Tiger Fish and Vundu make the Lower Zambezi a dream destination for any sport angler. While they may provide equipment and tackle, they encourage serious anglers to bring their own.

Discover the wonderfully diversified scenery trailing off the Lower Zambezi National Park while traveling through the wilderness with expert guides. You will be able to experience adventure up close as you wander through vast plains on foot, discovering Zambia's greatest flora and fauna.

The Zambezi River and its surrounding area are a birder's delight, with approximately 400 different bird species present, including the sought-after Livingstone's Fly-Catcher and the uncommon Pel's Fishing Owl. Depending on the lodge's capacity at the time of your visit, birding drives can be arranged.
