Azura Retreats is set on Benguerra Island within the pristine Bazaruto Marine National Park. Benguerra is the second-largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago, a chain of five islands including Bazaruto Island, Magaruque Island, Banque Island and Santa Carolina Island.
The island measures approximately 9 by 5 kilometres and has a population of around 2,000 people, offering a remote and tranquil setting.
Located about 14 kilometres northeast of Vilanculos, the nearest mainland town and access point, Benguerra is renowned for its unspoiled white beaches, vibrant coral reefs, exceptional diving and world-class fishing.
