
Turkish Airlines signs codeshare agreement with Airlink
Turkish Airlines has entered a wide-reaching codeshare partnership with South African carrier Airlink to boost its footprint across Africa. Officially commencing on August 1, 2025, the agreement was signed at Airlink's headquarters in Johannesburg.
This strategic alliance connects Turkish Airlines' global reach with Airlink’s vast network across South Africa and neighboring regions, making travel smoother and more flexible. Guests will be able to book multi-leg journeys on a single ticket, streamlining their experience. Under the deal, Turkish Airlines’ flight code “TK” will be featured on Airlink-operated services, providing seamless transfers from Turkish flights arriving in Johannesburg and Cape Town to numerous domestic and regional destinations.
Turkish Airlines’ Chief Investment & Strategy Officer, Levent Konukcu, emphasized the value of the partnership in enhancing connectivity across South Africa and strengthening cultural and tourism ties between the countries. Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht, highlighted the collaboration as a major step in expanding customer convenience and reinforcing Airlink’s brand on a global scale. With this agreement, Turkish Airlines continues its strategic growth across Africa, offering its guests expanded travel options and deepening its regional engagement.
