Did you know Zambia won best leisure destination in Africa?
- Zambia emerged as the winner of the Best Leisure Destination in Africa at the 2025 Global Traveler Awards, for the second consecutive year which were held in Miami in May. The results were gathered from a survey of readers of the US-based Global Traveler magazine, conducted from September 2024 to January 2025, with Zambia ranking ahead of the Seychelles, Morocco, and Kenya. “Zambia offered travelers authentic and natural experiences with beautiful wildlife, 20 national parks, 36 game management areas, and 73 ethnic groups. Hosting the world’s largest mammal migration, the world’s largest hippo population, and the world’s largest man-made lake, as well as Africa’s second-largest wildebeest migration, Zambia provided unforgettable experiences exploring the real Africa,” Global Traveler stated.
