Proflight Zambia To Implement Cashless Payment System

Proflight Zambia To Implement Cashless Payment System

- Proflight Zambia, the country’s leading scheduled airline, has announced that it will transition to a cashless payment system effective November 1, 2025. From this date forward, cash payments will no longer be accepted at any Proflight Zambia offices, with the sole exception of its Headquarters Sales Office located in Lusaka.

This strategic initiative is designed to streamline operational efficiency, enhance transactional security, mitigate risks associated with fraud, and provide passengers with a faster and more seamless payment experience. The move is also in alignment with the Bank of Zambia’s national policy promoting a cashless economy, as well as international best practices within the aviation and travel sectors.

Proflight Zambia will offer customers a range of digital payment options, including card payments in both Zambian Kwacha and US Dollar, mobile money platforms, bank deposits, and other approved electronic channels. Customers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these payment methods in advance to ensure a smooth transition.

In preparation for the change, the airline’s Commercial and Finance departments will collaborate with all stations and sales offices to expand digital payment infrastructure, provide necessary guidance, and support customers throughout the transition process.

Proflight Zambia remains steadfast in its dedication to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service. The implementation of a cashless payment system underscores the airline’s vision to be a digitally enabled carrier serving Zambia and the broader region.
