Proflight Zambia Launches New Route Linking Zambia and Botswana

- Proflight Zambia is expanding its regional network with the launch of a new seasonal route connecting Lusaka and Livingstone in Zambia with Maun, Botswana, starting May 2026. Announced by CEO Anthony Irwin at the 55th Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) Annual General Assembly in Lusaka, the move underscores the airline’s commitment to strengthening Southern Africa’s tourism and trade links.

The service will operate three times weekly until October 2026, directly linking Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI), and Maun Airport (MUB). By bridging Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta, the two of Africa’s most celebrated natural attractions. The route will make multi-destination travel more seamless for both regional and international visitors.

Tourism stakeholders across Zambia and Botswana have welcomed the announcement, anticipating increased visitor flows, job creation, and new opportunities for the travel trade. The route also supports growing demand for flexible, cross-border itineraries and reflects Proflight Zambia’s broader strategy of enhancing air connectivity across the continent.

In addition to boosting tourism, the new link is expected to strengthen economic ties within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) by facilitating the movement of people and goods. With this initiative, Proflight Zambia reinforces Lusaka’s position as a key regional aviation hub and invites travelers to explore the wonders of Southern Africa from the thundering Victoria Falls to the serene Okavango Delta.
