TAAG Angola Airlines Set to Reconnect Luanda and Lusaka as Southern African Network Grows

-

TAAG Angola Airlines plans to relaunch direct services between Luanda and Lusaka by the end of October 2026, according to Zambian aviation authorities. This development strengthens air connectivity between the two Southern African capitals.

The route resumption creates new opportunities for travel professionals to build combined itineraries linking Angola and Zambia, supporting business travel in mining and agriculture as well as leisure tourism.

Operating from Luanda’s modern Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport, the service forms part of TAAG’s broader network expansion. The airline aims to develop long-haul routes to Europe, Asia, and the United States, supported by its growing regional network and new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

TAAG has also enhanced connectivity through codeshare partnerships, including with South African Airways.

Zambia will benefit from improved access for business travellers and tourism packages featuring Victoria Falls and wildlife safaris. The October launch aligns well with the Southern Hemisphere summer peak season.

Travel professionals should monitor official announcements for schedules and ticketing details. This route restoration highlights the increasing focus on intra-African connectivity in the region.
