Proflight Zambia Unveils Strategic Route Linking Zambia to Botswana's Wildlife Hub

- Proflight Zambia has announced the expansion of its regional network with a new three-city service linking Lusaka, Livingstone, and Maun. The service is scheduled to commence on 2 May 2026, representing a notable improvement in air connectivity within Southern Africa.

This development is expected to strengthen links between two of the region’s leading tourism destinations: Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta. By enabling more seamless travel between Zambia and Botswana, the route creates new opportunities for integrated, multi-destination tourism offerings.

The service will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Supporting both leisure and business travel. This frequency allows travel planners to design flexible itineraries that combine Zambia’s attractions with Botswana’s established safari circuits.

Maun serves as the primary gateway to the Okavango Delta, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, while Livingstone provides access to Victoria Falls, widely recognised as one of the world’s most important natural landmarks. The inclusion of Lusaka as a hub further enhances regional accessibility.

The route launch aligns with the approach of Southern Africa’s peak travel season and reflects sustained global demand for safari and wilderness experiences. Improved air access is expected to ease logistical challenges that have previously complicated travel between Zambia and Botswana.

Overall, this expansion highlights the growing role of regional airlines in strengthening intra-African connectivity and supporting tourism growth. Travel professionals are encouraged to incorporate the new service into future planning ahead of its launch.
