Proflight Zambia Expands Regional Network with New Windhoek and Maun Routes

- In Windhoek, it was announced that on 3 March 2026, Proflight Zambia launched new services connecting Lusaka and Livingstone to Windhoek. The routes establish direct links between the two Zambian cities and the Namibian capital, going beyond simple air travel to strengthen economic ties and enhance connectivity between Zambia and Namibia, while creating new opportunities for tourism, trade and regional movement.

The flights are operated using a CRJ-200 jet three times a week—on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays—and include a brief 30-minute stopover in Livingstone, during which passengers remain onboard before continuing to their final destination.

The airline also confirmed that it remains on track to launch flights to Maun on 2 May 2026, marking a further expansion of its regional network. With this addition, Proflight Zambia will serve four international destinations across seven routes, reflecting continued growth in its operations.

The Maun service will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an immigration stop in Livingstone. The route will be flown using a 29-seat Jetstream 41 turboprop aircraft, with passengers travelling between Lusaka and Maun clearing immigration at Livingstone Airport before proceeding onward.

On the Johannesburg route, the airline is increasing capacity as demand recovers. The mid-day flight P0024 will become a daily service from 31 March 2026, while the morning flight P0020 will continue to operate daily except on Wednesdays until mid-June. The airline reaffirmed its commitment to providing convenient travel options and encouraged passengers to check its website for updated schedules.

Meanwhile, rising demand on the Mansa and Ndola routes has prompted the introduction of direct, nonstop flights between Lusaka and Mansa on peak travel days—Mondays and Fridays. This change not only increases seat availability for Mansa-bound passengers but also allows for greater capacity on the Ndola service, which had previously been combined with Mansa flights. Separating the routes on busy days enables the airline to better meet demand and improve overall passenger convenience.

Additionally, a daily mid-afternoon service has been introduced on the Ndola route, with flight P0306 departing Lusaka at 14:00 and arriving in Ndola at 14:45, and flight P0307 departing Ndola at 15:15 and arriving back in Lusaka at 16:00.

For Solwezi and Kalumbila, the airline has introduced an early-morning travel option on Fridays for the Solwezi–Lusaka–Johannesburg route. The new service departs at 06:25 and arrives in Johannesburg at 10:15, complementing the existing Friday flight that departs at 07:50 and arrives at 13:00, thereby offering passengers increased flexibility.
